McDonald's wanted to create a fun and memorable experience at the 2015 Australian Open, so we gave tennis fans a uniquely Australian Open experience.
With a 40ft container, 9 x 55" screens, a camera, and some YouTube trickery, we gave fans a taste of winning the Aus Open. With a 3, 2, 1, countdown, tennis fans ran onto a virtual Rod Laver court and celebrated their grand slam win by signing the TV camera, just like the pros do. Fans were instantly emailed a link to their video on YouTube, ready for them to share across social media. And the fun didn't stop there. The activation was so popular the pros themselves dropped by to see what all the fuss was about. (Unfortunately for some of the pro players, this is the closest they’ll get to winning the Aus Open also.)
